Course Overview

The WSQ Internet of Things 101 (Built Environment) is a 24-hour course that introduces participants to the fundamental concepts and practical applications of IoT in the built environment. Participants will learn about virtual and digital database works, data analytics for automation systems, system integration, user interfaces, and dashboards. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, participants will develop skills in programming, system integration, and task optimization using IoT tools.

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the basic virtual and digital database works
  • Identify the data analytics for operating the automation and/or robotics system through system connection
  • Explain the automation and robotics system information in a networked environment to dispatch task
  • Develop the system information integration
  • Use the Internet of Things (IoT) tools and system with the industry 5S approach in integration using IoT
  • Execute the task to interact using with the Internet of Things (IoT) system interface in an automated environment.
  • Explain the control room and big data dashboard for task optimisation
