This is a one-year top-up course for diploma graduates, offered in collaboration with University of Central Lancashire, UK. Students will have the opportunity to spend 2-3 weeks in the UK where they will expand their learning experience through mass lectures, collaborative projects, dialogues and exchanges with staff and students from the University of Central Lancashire.
BA (Hons) Spatial Design is a programme geared towards developing your professional edge and builds upon diploma studies in interior, exhibition, hospitality and design. The course is designed to develop your understanding of the theoretical, technical, cultural and contextual aspects of design practice in the multidisciplinary area of spatial design.
It serves as a platform for developing your creative potential, design ingenuity, entrepreneurial skills as well as incubating leadership in the design industries.
Learning Outcomes
- Relate design intentions with contextual evidence and case studies
- Produce strong design concept proposals with reference to contextual issues, specific reasoning, evaluation and creativity/interpretation
- Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between designers and other professionals and appreciate the various roles undertaken by a professional designer
