On completion, the trainee shall be able to:
- Know the various types and characteristics of carpets and upholstery
- Know the various types of spoilage, spots, and stains
- Know basic proper grooming for work
- Know the various types & proper uses of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Apply basic first-aid knowledge
- Display appropriate safety signage to reduce hazards before work
- Know the tools, equipment, supplies, and chemicals for the advanced cleaning of carpets and upholstery
- Perform advanced spot and stain removal on carpets and upholstery
- Perform shampoo cleaning of carpets
- Perform water extraction cleaning of carpets and upholstery
- Perform treatment to carpets and upholstery

- Follow procedures and standards
