Alicia is a mother of two beautiful boys aged 2 and 6 with a passion for tinkering, creating and building items using daily materials. Her interest has influenced her parenting style and she firmly believes in educating her sons about science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics through imaginative and educational play with toys and daily items.
Inspired to share this philosophy with more young children, Alicia started The PLEI Academy to offer innovative STEAM based educational activities that appeal to preschoolers’ innate sense of wonder while instilling in them the foundation for higher structured learning as they grow older.
Program Details
The Little Musical Scientist
This STEAM programme caters for 3-4 years old specifically. The children are highly inquisitive and creative at this age. Hands on activities harbour this benefit and enable the children to gain knowdelge about the world they live in through interactive play.
The Little Engineer’s Lab
Introduce young minds to science knowledge, engineering and robotics principles with the aid of KIBO, Bee-Bot, Strawbees, Lego Wedo, Snap Circuit and Little Bits Jr that sparks their creativity while introducing problem-solving skills at the same time. Some activities are also infused with arts and crafts to further fuel their imagination.
