Course Overview
At the end of the course, you will have a good understanding of:
- Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and its Subsidiary regulations
- Concept of bizSAFE
- Importance of management commitment in cultivating a good safety culture in the workplace
- Preparation of the company WSH policy
Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand why his/her business should be interested in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH);
- Know what resources or information his/her company can tap on to build its WSH capabilities; and
- Know what actions he/she can take to improve the WSH processes in his/her company
Pre-requisites
The participant should be a Chief Executive (or equivalent)/ Board Director who is responsible for WSH in the company, in line with Measure #1 in the Approved Code of Practice for Chief Executives’ and Board of Directors’ Workplace Safety and Health Duties. The program is also suitable for staff who are keen to know more about WSH.

- Overview of WSH ACT/ Subsidiary regulations/ Approved Codes of Practice
- Introduction to bizSAFE concept/ Risk Management concept/ Corporate and Social Responsibilities (CSR) of companies
- Top management responsibilities and the role that they play towards cultivating a good safety culture in the workplace/ Business case studies
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
Upon meeting 100% attendance and completion of the WSH Policy, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance from NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd. This certificate can be used to apply for bizSAFE Level 1 certification with the WSH Council to start the bizSAFE journey.
